I set a new world record on
April 5, 2008 – 19 bottles.
I set a new world record on April 5, 2008:
14 – 1" bundled ropes.
I have been involved in the BladeSports and Knifemakers Guild cutting competition during the last two years.
As a result of designing and making the cutters, I have gained extensive knowledge in testing of blade steels, developing heat-treating processes and edge geometry for various uses.
After completing for over two years and winning the championship in 2007 and 2008, I have retired from the cutting competitions. I have enjoyed the experience and will continue to act as an official at BladeSports competitions, assist at the Texas cutting school, etc. – and possibly defend my record rope and water bottle cuts.
I would like to give Spyderco a special thank you for their sponsorship of me during my last two years of competition and for their support of BladeSports International, Inc.
This is my "Beaver Creek" cutter that I use in the cutting
competitions. The handle is HSM and the blade steel
is CPM-M4.
A similar knife is available for $850.
